Absent:
Meeting was called to order at 9:45 am.
1. Minutes of December 12, 2003 were reviewed and approved.
2.
CIRLA Fellows Program —Artemis Kirk distributed a detailled
information package and gave a demo run of a promotional presentation
for the program. All is proceeding well and with sustained support
for recruitment from the Board members and Irene Hoffman; the program will be on
target.
3. CIRLA Website
—Mod Mekkawi presented a remake of the CIRLA Web site, for
consideration by the Board. It was approved by all present that
we proceed with the production of the new Web site design and for compensating
the developer (Noel Mekkawi) in the amount of $1,500.00. Member libraries will
provide images @ 2 per library for inclusion as randomly rotating
visuals in the Website. They will also update the links for their respective libraries on the "Visitor Information" page. An "Image Gallery" page will be created.
4. The future
of CIRLA — The Board decided to review the goals and scope of CIRLA
and explore the organization's future.
6. Next CIRLA
Meeting —Following consultations, the next CIRLA Board meeting was set for Monday, June 21 at Howard University, beginning
with refreshments at 9:00 am.

at 12:30 pm followed by lunch in Leavey Center, hosted by GU.
